Beautiful place with lovely grounds and water falls. The staff and volunteers are very helpful and friendly. Iโ€™ve been to two beautiful memorial services lately. I hope my next visit will be a happy occasion since they also cater to weddings and such. Great job!

My girlfriend and I were excited to adopt a new dog. Had heard good things about this place but after my interactions with Sydney Albright (employee at furkids) I will probably never go back or recommend to anyone. Did the application process the ran into a slight hiccup when getting proof of vaccines for our other pets. One was slightly overdue for a shot so we took him the next day. When I called back to ask about moving forward in the adoption process she told me the dog we wanted had been adopted already. Even though we applied first. A MIRACLE happens and the dog we want ended up getting returned so we tried again. Yet this time Sydney Albright felt that the slight lapse in vaccine deemed us โ€œunacceptable petownersโ€. Not once in our multiple calls and emails did she mention this. (I will also add that I scoured their website and nothing says you have to have the requirements she asked for). She became completely unprofessional, rude, and dismissive. She wouldnโ€™t even consider putting our application through again or even return simple phone calls. I am going to contact Furkids at the executive level too because I donโ€™t want anyone else to go through this negative experience. Y

Great local shelter. We were there for an event in their event room. Had a chance to see the cattery, and new construction going up. Beautiful campus. Dog shelter looks it will be great too.

My Grinch heart grew three sizes after volunteering with FurKids Pet Adoption in Cumming, GA through my job. If you love cats and dogs and have time to give, I highly recommend checking them out. The campus includes a small dog unit and a beautiful, state-of-the-art cat facility just down the road. The love, care, and attention these animals receive is truly next level. Just be warned โ€” you might leave with a new best friend. That fluffy orange cat in my photos? Sheโ€™s mine now. She runs the house. If youโ€™re interested in volunteering, reach out to Kate Gorman โ€” she was a phenomenal point of contact. My team will definitely be back for more opportunities to help (and maybe accidentally adopt again).
